Although I am very late writing August Goals blog post, rest assured that I have been diligently working towards achieving my goals this month. In fact, I have them written down on my phone. If you haven’t had the chance to catch up on my latest blog post explaining the reasons behind my absence, you can easily find it here.
It should not come as a surprise to you that I have not been able to maintain an active presence on #Medium. As a result, I have unfortunately neglected the platform for the time being and haven’t had the chance to provide fresh content by adding new posts. However, I still prioritize engaging with my readers by responding to their comments, despite being a bit slow in doing so.
Lately, I haven’t been feeling very energized when it comes to writing. I much rather work on designs for #Redbubble. To date, I have 52 designs available in the shop, and I plan on adding a few more before the end of the month. Initially, I had hoped to have 100 designs in the shop by the end of September. However, due to my busy schedule, I won’t have much time for hobbies, and it may be challenging to meet that goal.

My Blog Posts Can Wait
Lately, I have been giving my full attention to my children, who require a lot of my time and energy. Additionally, I am striving to improve my skills as a housewife, and household chores consume a significant portion of my day. I have also taken up cooking more dishes, which is enjoyable but can be time-consuming. I have great ideas for blog posts, including recipes, but unfortunately, I lack the time and energy to write these blog posts . As a result, these ideas remain stuck in limbo….
There is so much I still want to do which is why I haven’t given up on blogging completely. No, I am not going to abandon my blog. Is it worth the renewal fees? Probably not, but if I need money, I can simply work more hours. Money is not the main concern here. You can always earn more money. What I truly need is more time and time is limited. Moving forward, here are my goals for the rest of August:
AUGUST GOALS 2023
Career Goals:
- Go back to work on August 27
- Catch up on work emails + look at CCP requirements → due sometime in September
- Work on side hustle → there are currently 52 designs available

Personal Goals:
- Publish 1-2 blog posts + monthly recap
- Transfer appointments to my Posh Planner
- Keep tabs on doctor’s appointments/pending appointments
- Phone call with social worker Aug 25 → be prepared with questions
- Daily Duolingo practice 🇩🇪
- Watch the Barbie movie in movie theaters
Health Goals:
Track steps on Pikmin Bloom appTrack water intake on Water Llama app- Use new water bottle once it arrives (2000mL bottle)
- Hula hooping for 35-40 minutes daily for a minimum of 30 days
- Leave the house once a day and get some sunshine☀️

As you can see, I have decided to give up on the Pikmin Bloom app. While I do love the app itself, I have grown tired of counting steps and using the treadmill without seeing noticeable results. I am the type of person who needs to see tangible progress in order to stay motivated. Rather than walking, I have opted for an infinity hula hoop instead. So far, I am really enjoying it! My objective is to strengthen my core and reduce the excess weight around my midsection. The spare tire needs to go.
I am currently engaging in targeted exercises to assist me in achieving this goal. I’ll check in with you guys after 30 days, but in the meantime, you can follow me over on the #Twitter/X platform for daily updates. The kawaii designs? Ah, I designed them. Digital art is a hobby of mine… I kinda stumbled upon it and have been hooked ever since. I started designing stickers/other merch in June 2023. The designs can be found on the Redbubble site using my link, as the screenshot doesn’t include them all.
Speaking of the Barbie movie, I saw it this evening in the movie theater lol My husband says he even liked the movie. I ate way too much popcorn and chocolate, and drank too much bubble tea 🫢

I thought to myself, “hey… I think I could do that!” I’m hoping to upload 700+ designs so I still have a long way to go lol 😂 I like POD because I don’t have to deal with seeking physical items. Redbubble takes care of that.

Very cute stickers! You’ve quite a talent. Writing has fallen by the wayside for me too.
Weight loss (or excess fat loss more importantly) has always been nearly impossible for me. I don’t think exercise is important at all when it comes to that, at least for me. I’ve had long multi-year gym streaks in the past and never got slimmer. Only when I started taking ADHD medication and basically stopped eating did I get down to a healthy weight lol. Without it, I very quick gain weight again.
Thank you so much! 🙂 I read online that there are a lot of thieves out there that steal artwork, so that’s my biggest worry lol I watermark them but they aren’t watermarked when I take screenshots. So far, I haven’t seen dupes of my designs yet.
Btw I’m working out while writing this reply. Weight loss is hard for me as well. The only time I was skinny with a flat stomach was when I was anorexic. I was 13/14 at the time. Then I gained 30lbs in a month and cried because I thought I was fat. Now I would do anything to be that weight again. Funny how perspective changes.
ADHD meds will do that. Never taken it but it’s similar to an illegal street drug that causes loss of appetite and weight loss.

relatable! I’ve never done hula loop ever.. hehe! Yet
I have yet to try an actual hula hoop. I’m using a smart (weighted) hula hoop which is great for uncoordinated people like myself. Eventually, I hope to use a basic hula hoop. So far, I like the smart hula hoop (similar name, infinity hoop) and have been working out everyday since I got it.

Surprisingly, pizza cat has been popular among customers. But the most popular one is one of the caticorn cat designs. The black cat playing in the roses is one of my favourites as well! 🌹🐈⬛

I love your designs, especially the cute black kitty playing with roses! I like that you included your monthly goals in your post. I have some similar goals: finishing my Brazilian Duolingo studies, publishing a blog post by the end of the month (because it’s been too long), working on my side hustle (online clothing shop), getting out in nature to soak up some sun, and keeping up with my doctor’s appointments. I haven’t watched Barbie yet, and I can’t wait to make it a solo date to see it while it’s still in theaters. Also, I am intrigued about the Infinity Hoop, including if it really works in being an exercise equipment that can aid in weight loss. I’m thinking of purchasing and trying it out. I’ve tried everything, and the only thing that has been working is following growwithjo on YouTube and doing those workouts at least 1-3 times a week. Like you, I am ready to let go of this “spare tire” that is my midsection and get back in shape.

This year, I have been trying to make monthly goals so I can hold myself accountable, as well as break larger goals down so they are less overwhelming. I started this project in January 2023 and I think I will stick with it because I do see the benefits from writing out my monthly goals,
Brazilian Duolingo sounds interesting! An online clothing shop sounds neat and it seems like it’s sorta similar to what I am doing with #Redbubble. I can relate to working a side hustle. Indeed, we do have similar goals! I ended up seeing the Barbie movie a few hours after publishing this blog post haha It’s a fun movie and worth watching. My husband even liked it which was surprising. As for the Infinity hoop, I was doing so well with it until donation boxes took over my bedroom and I no longer have that spot to work out. I haven’t worked out for days and want to exercise again, whether it’s walking on the treadmill or using the infinity hoop. I wanted to write a 30-day Infinity hoop (smart hoop) review but didn’t make it to 30 days. 🤦♀️
