A Giveaway, Maybe?

Lucky Number 7️⃣

For me, the number 7 has always held a special significance and has been linked to luck in my life. On May 7th, I married my SO and this year marks our seventh anniversary together. Additionally, this is also the year of my 7th blogiversary and coincidentally, it is also the same year that my daughter turns 7 years old – making it an even more remarkable milestone to celebrate.

Celebrating my 7th #blogiversary with a #givesway! 🎉🥳

I knew that I had to do something special for my readers and decided to try a giveaway for the first time. This is a great opportunity for me to give back to you guys who have supported me all of these years. The prize is a Meditative Adult Coloring Kit from Costco, which might be useful to anyone who enjoys this activity. You may be wondering why I chose this particular item as the giveaway – and let’s just say it’s a long story that I rather not get into.

If you want to see what the adult coloring kit looks like, I took a some pictures with my phone. You might have noticed that the price tag is still on it. I am not going to bother removing the price tag because it will make a sticky mess.

Oh geez. I completely missed that. Sorry! I have several adult coloring books as well as my old standbys like Scooby Doo. And they are very relaxing.
We have a Costco in Traverse so maybe I will see if one of my coworkers will pick it up for me. We don’t have a membership. Thank you!

No worries at all! Costco is the best place to find adult coloring books. Second best place would probably be Walmart. I have a pile of adult coloring books that I don’t really use because I prefer to color postcards. I use sharpies and they bleed through the pages whereas postcards are made from thicker cardstock.

It’s funny that you mentioned that you live in Traverse because my husband wants to move to Michigan one day. For my husband, he likes his Archie comics lol

That’s awesome! Mine likes his Marvel and DC comics. And I had not even thought about post cards! Where did you find those? I have only ever seen books. I like the books because, like a kid, I will hang the pictures up if I like it enough. My pages are the thicker ones. The only thin pages I think I have are my kids ones.

You really can’t go wrong with the classics! The only comics I ever read was manga, if that counts 😆 As for the adult coloring postcards, I found that at Michaels. I think Michaels is the equivalent of a Hobby Lobby store in the U.S. I love the idea of hanging/framing adult coloring pages! 😊

Thank you so much! 7 years is still crazy to me, even though I didn’t do much with this blog until Spring 2019. I looked at the stats last night to see that I published a total of 160 blog posts, which is a lot for me.

I have a bad feeling that hardly anyone will enter the draw. There aren’t many Canadian readers, and the ones that do read my blog aren’t always active on WP. Hopefully someone enters – whoever does will probably win the giveaway lol

The beauty of blogging is that there are no rules! We can take it our own pace, writing about what we want, when we want. & years and 160 posts is impressive!

Fingers crossed you have a few enthusiastic entries! That’s so kind and generous of you to have a giveaway. 😊

So far, no entries yet. Yes, fingers crossed! I shared it on Twitter too and so far no engagement. Perhaps I picked the wrong day to post. I’ll leave it up for a month and hopefully someone is interested. 😅

Congratulations, 7 really seems to be your lucky number 🎉 I wish everyone who enters luck and look forward to seeing who the winner is. I love colouring and do it all the time. It’s super relaxing.

Thank you, Pooja! Yes, 7 does seem like my lucky number. I still can’t believe that this blog has been around for seven years – it feels like no time has passed at all. Agreed, coloring is a very relaxing activity. I mostly use sharpies, but they tend to bleed through the pages, making it hard to find books with thick enough pages.

Thank you, Rose! I didn’t realize it until a few days ago and thought it was significant enough to do something. I had wanted to do a giveaway for a while but didn’t know how to go about it. Luckily, the form was easy to set up. Thank you for entering the giveaway!😊✨
