There are foods that are good at helping the body do certain things, and ones that are worse, but it really bugs me that the marketing ploy of calling something a super food so people buy more of it still exists. Like, a lot of foods that have been called super foods do worse at what they claim to be good at than the regular fruit and vegetables you were already eating. Nonetheless, an interesting post

Hi @UnwantedLife! You’re absolutely right! Marketing can be quite the maze, with all those buzzwords and tactics to grab our attention. It was nice to find a list that focused on unadulterated food, and the appeal of healthier food options continues to gain popularity among health-conscious consumers.

Remember when avocados were all the rage and everyone was obsessed with them? The price of avocados skyrocketed. It seemed like the producers saw an opportunity to cash in on our avocado craze. Once avocados stopped being as popular, the price went back down. It’s fascinating how marketing and social media can influence consumer behavior and shape market dynamics.

Hi @buddy71! I like fruits and vegetables, even plain yogurt. But fish? I don’t like fish. I’ll eat if it’s placed in front of me but I’ll make it known that I am not excited about it! 😆

First, I get the part about getting mentally exhausted replying to comments. 🙈
Second, I eat so many of these foods!! I know coffee isn’t good for you but black coffee also helps with keeping my appetite in control.

Lately, I have been more mentally exhausted than usual. At most, I can only reply to 2-3 comments at a time before having to take a break. Texting people vs. replying to comments/responding to emails feels less mentally draining for some reason.

I love coffee and I also find it to be a good appetite suppressant. If I had written the list, coffee would definitely be included lol. Thank you for reading and commenting! 🙂☕

The idea of superfoods is one I’d relegated to pseudoscientific marketing jargon, but one can’t argue with the statement that these foods are better for you than a Big Mac. 😅

I’m glad you found it helpful! Tbh I keep pages from old magazines and I have a hard time letting them go. This is a great way to let these pages go. Having a digital copy brings me peace. 🧘‍♀️

I thought the list was pretty accurate. A great reminder to shop for these food items vs. some not so healthy things.
